First things first. Make sure you have ample fuel going to the carburator. Your compression is very high for that little engine so I would assume you have a buid up of carbon on top of the piston. Do not start disassembling until the problem is identified and confirmed!!!!!!!!! Probably an easy fix ...

One more thing......... The top rpm on the stand and on the ground seem/sound to be the same. I'm thinking fuel and my motor head FIL thinks it is the CDI.

Compression is 100 psi cold. The manual says it is a 7 to 1 comp ratio but I couldn't find the true value stated. My plug looks so good that I am totally confused. If the compression was bad the plug should look fouled and I would think it should smoke, it doesn't. It is consuming oil from the tank ...

SB50P Question
Having an issue and need to know if the timing advances as the engine rpm increases. I think I have a bad CDI. The timing is correct but it doesn't advance as rpm goes up. Any advice would be appreciated.
