Scooter Cuts Out

For some reason when I am driving along sometimes my scooter just cuts out on me. I pull over hit the starter and everything is fine. What is the deal? Also, would it be bad to hit the starter while the scooter is motion? The rear wheel doesn't turn the belt, correct?

They are a lot bigger. My Aero 80 is much bigger than my SE50. I think all 80cc scoots are meant for 2 people as well.

Anyone ever break a cylinder bolt?

I was torquing down the cylinder bolts on my new zx50 today, and one of the bolts broke! Luckily I was able to take the other 3 bolts out and unthread the broken part by hand.

I was doing torquing them to 10 foot pounds. Is that too tight? Should the bolt have broken?

So in terms of a first step... is it something like the Polini kit... a new exhaust... variator? Or is it an all-at-once (or nothing at all) kind of deal? Anything to just break 30mph! Variator is a good first step. You won't need to reject with just doing that either. After that, it is all about h...

My SE50P went about 30 when I got it. I have it up to about 50 now. I have the Polini big bore, NH80 carb (94 main, 44 slow jets), Proma Ghost exhaust, aftermarket variator.

There is a ball bearing in the spout where the oil comes out that could get stuck "up". I had it happen when I was cleaning it one time. I used a small nail to dislodge it.
