Can someone tell me the size of the carb screws?

Hi all, I just need to know the thread pitch, diameter and lengths of the screws that mount the carb to the manifold on Honda Sprees. I lost mine and need to know the size to buy replacements. Thanks in advance!

Thanks for the help! work has been really busy lately so I only got to look at my scoot this afternoon, so I took off my side covers and exposed the wires that you told me to test, and just as I was about to test, I noticed my low oil light was on again, and lo and behold, I have power again! so I t...

Hi Jeremy, did you ever solve your problem, I have the EXACT same problem as you, except my spree runs. The battery is good but nothing electrical works, except the fuel guage. All the electrical used to work but I messed something up, because when my battery died, I had a 12V, 6 amp battery charger...

well, heavier flywheels for trucks help for hillclimbing, as the revs don't drop as fast. A heavy flywheel is like a battery that stores kinetic energy, it takes a lot of energy to accelerate it hence the slow acceleration, but it stores that energy and helps maintain engine torque when a sudden loa...

Hi all, I swapped the lighter 84 pulley on my 86-engined 84 Spree. Slight increase in acceleration, Zero increase in top speed. The increase in acceleration is bareley noticeable; it makes the bike feel a little peppier, that's all. Not worth going out to look for an 84 drive face, but if you have o...

make sure your auto fuel shut off valve is not jammed open, with the bike off, only a little gas should come out of the fuel line if you disconnect it from the carb, and then no more should flow out. I had a similar problem back when my scoot had no (!) fuel shut off valve.

I stripped my bolt too and it felt like that. The easiest way if you don't have a drill, tap and die set is to get this stuff from Permetex call Thread Repair Compound. I'm sure you can find it at chain autoparts stores like PepBoys (I don't know for sure, I am a Canuck). It's not cheap at $16 Cdn.,...

GuitarJones: if your Spree runs, That's good news for me! Vette76: so that spring pushes on the pin from behind? I guess a simple way to tell me which direction the spring is supposed to push (whether it is away or towards the carb) is if you could tell me how to assemble the choke tip if I had it i...

Choke assembly internals **LONG**

Hi, can anyone help me with this, my Spree doesn't hold idle, and I will reclean the carb paying particular attention to my idle circuit, however before I do that, my choke assembly doesn't seem right. Can anyone tell me where the small spring (like the size of the spring you find in retractable tip...

I can tell you guys now that the thicker heavier one pictured is from the 87 engine. The thin, light aluminum one with the fins (about 1/3 the weight) is from the 84 engine. I know this because I have both motors, and am going to try which one is better overall for daily riding, trying both these pu...
