Re: soft seize?
Your compression lost is right there in your pics. That's not a soft seize, right there is a a full seize.that's either from not enough oil or running to hot from compression or a combo of both. yeah i know that the compression is low on the 46mm bore b/c of the piston. But why would my compression ...

Re: rattling noise. need help
rattling noise could be from the piston being put in backwards. check to make sure you put it in correctly.

Re: soft seize?
i was wanting to keep the bike running b/c i need something good on gas to ride around. so i put a 51mm bore on and i only have 75psi of compression.
I'm having some bad luck.

Re: soft seize?
Post pics of the piston and jug. If the bike died like you said what happened and there was a seize, there are going to be lines on both the piston and cylinder walls.if none is present, check the reeds, and crank seals for leaks.also look for any other leaks like at the head, head gasket, base gasket ...

Re: soft seize?
Greetings: I suggest you reicheck the compression holding the throttle wide open. If it's the same, and you're sure of the 142 before, suspect a crank seal, bad reed, or gaskets as Mike said. I bet the crank seal because it was sudden. The vac leak and lean-out could've caused the overheat and seiz...

If your compression dropped 30PSI, it's more than a soft seize. Time to dismantle and inspect, then find the reason.
i took everything apart after the compression test. rings, piston, and jug all look good. any suggestions on why the compression might have dropped so much?
