Honda Spree and Elite 50 Forums

Is there a grounding block on the scooter? Where is it located? Its not shown on the equipment diagrams..I followed the wiring diagram...there seems to be a block, but Id like to know where it is so I don't have to take off all the body panels to find it..

I can't follow the wiring diagram...its too complicated for me..

Both switches are fine? what else could it be? where does the black and white wire go to? its connected at the switches?

I tested both switches and they both checked out...I made sure that they were connected properly and they were....what else could it be?

i dont thats it...it wasnt sputtering it ran perfect..i could shut off both switches and give it gas and it purred like a kitten up and down the rmp rate.i have ridden further and harder than this in warmer weather and it shut off fine..

I have an 89 SB50P Elite 50 E scooter... Tonight I was driving the scooter to the store and it shut off fine with the red engine toggle switch at my first stop...10 minutes later, i went to walmart and it would not shut down with either the red toggle switch or with the key area.. what would cause t...

Thank you all for your help... I hope that this post also helped some other people put the proper oil (10w 40) in the transmission case..

There is a bolt on the side of the back of the bike motor/transmission housing and if you remove the bolt, the oil should up to the level of the bottom of the bolt...if its not you simply add a little to it.

it just has to be to the level of the plug..

I bought 10w 40 oil and checked the level. The level was fine and the oil was clear..so I left it alone.

I went through the service manual and I want to replace the oil in the engine. The manual just says to use honda approved oil...what the heck does that mean? I am pretty sure we are not supposed to put 2 cycle oil in the motor, but could someone tell me what kind of oil i put in the motor at the dra...

What restricts the SP50P Elite E models? Is it the CDI module? If I replace the module with a different module, would it rev a little higher? I did open up the breather casing and I was able to get a solid 30-31 MPH...The speedometer reads 35..i would think that I should be able to get at least 35 m...
