getting it running after winter

Re: lost power at WOT
Correct me if I'm wrong. But if soft seize was the problem it would have had different symptoms. It would idle fine but couldn't give it full throttle for a fee minutes. It idled like nothing was wrong

Re: Seized!!
Hardest part of a dio swap is finding a dio motor. Other hard parts are making a new upper shock mount and making s kick stand work. Other than that, its straight forward.

lost power at WOT
I was cruising down the road at maxed out speed. Probably 55mph on an ever so slight down grade. All of the sudden I lost power. I stopped and it idled fine. It wouldn't go WOT for about 5 minutes when all of the sudden it came back to life. Today I rode it to work and it ran just fine. What do you ...

Re: Will only kickstart occasionally.
the battery runs the horn, headlight, turn signals, and brake light. It has nothing to do with whether it runs or not. The 12v system and the ignition system are totally seperate

Re: spark plug keeps fouling
would my compression be low because i put it back together without honing the cylinder? I didn't think it was necassary because all i did was take it apart and put it back together, same rings and everything, but now im thinking it probably needs honed if you remove the cylinder at all. Thoughts?

Re: spark plug keeps fouling
How do you tell the difference. I think it was oil but I'm not sure. When it was cold it looked oily. When it got hot it was a matte black

Re: spark plug keeps fouling
did a compression check. 90psi. Added some oil. 120psi. Do rings go bad from sitting around (if there is no rust involved)? I don't get why my rings would all of the sudden be bad.
