Great idea with a mild BBK to start.
Seeing as it's been run with NO oil you will need to replace the crankshaft bearings (and seals). They will not last long and even less with a BBK installed. Go OEM Honda if you can find them.

Re: 1997 Honda Dio SR AF18
Welcome to the forum. Please upload pictures. We love pictures! As for your question. I can only speak to the Malossi cast BBK. I have an AF28 JDM Dio ZX. AF18. Years and years and years ago installed a Cast 72cc Malossi BBK. My brief was the same as yours. I wanted a reliable but faster scooter. I ...

AF18/AF16e Transmission Bearing Part Numbers List
An old thread but I didn't need new bearings until now for my DJ1R 125cc stroker project. This thread serves as a great reference for anyone changing there bearings and seals. In the end Paulpauly7 pulled the bearings out and had them matched but they are as follows: (Note single bearing transmissio...

Re: Problems attaching pictures
You're not the only one. Attaching pictures to this forum is nothing but a pain.
I have to email my pics to myself. Reduce them by 50%. Even then I can only add one at a time.
There must be a better easier way. If its not easy people wont do it.

Re: DJ1R (SE50) af18e 125cc Stroker Build
The steering stem bolted right in. I used the DJ1R bottom bearing cone. AF35 top nut. Greased both bearings and tightened it all up. The stem is to wide for the factory plastics. I used a heat gun and a suitable wooden mallet thing I found in the shed to re-shape the panel. There is enough room but ...

DJ1R (SE50) af18e 125cc Stroker Build
Its about time I posted up this project. This has been in the works for YEARS as I collected the bits I needed. Originally I was going to put my stroker setup into a nifty50 but I went away from that. Basically the nifty50 is way to small for a man my size. Couple that with the fact I will be taking...

Re: AF18e Dio Crank Bearing & Seals Part Numbers *Found*
This is uncanny. Nearly 4 years to the day I've just ordered another set of OEM Honda bearings for my AF18 125cc stroker engine. Glad I started this post as it was an easy reference to track down some bearings here in NZ.

Re: Help: Honda DJ1R (SE50) with Dio front end
Ask and you shall receive. This is being delivered tomorrow. The guy belongs to a facebook group. I was asking someone else about there Dio they had for sale and he messaged me. To easy and exactly what I need! Genuine AF35 Dio ZX. Very rough, engine is junk. Comes with complete front end and a set ...

Re: Help: Honda DJ1RR (SE50) with Dio front end
I'm considering buying one of these NEW stems off of Aliexpress. Unfortunately they label them as AF27/28/34/35 Dio steering stems. I'd assume that they would be made for te disk brakes forks/width. I don't know if it's worth the gamble or if I should hold off for a bit and keep looking. The ebay li...

Re: Help: Honda DJ1RR (SE50) with Dio front end
I think yours is a dj1r (af12) not a dj1rr (af19) your scooter has single head light bulb, no rear fairing scoops, af05e engine (originally), and I don't see dj1rr on your scooterexcept for thbe forks. dj1 and dj1r have a trailing link under shock like the 85-86 aeros. dj1=87 af05e engine dj1r= 88-...
