Re: SB50P
are there specific port numbers to go by? or just opening the intake and exhaust ports slightly? get the head shaved like 10,000th of an inch? and is the power to be gotten out of this even worth the trouble?
Thanks
Thanks

SB50P
a friend of mine got a 89 sb50p.. First of all,Im assuming it is restricted (p). Second, Where are the restrictions? I know that they are single speed, this one barely pulls up a hill though. It has a 68 main jet in it. What can be done for relatively cheap to increase the acceleration, if anything....

Re: 2001 Elite 50
Got the variator and rollers in the Elite, wow what a difference! I did that, and put a 85 main jet in (had a 68) and top speed went from about 35 to 45. It will get close to 47mph on a downhill.

Re: 2001 Elite 50
So far I love it. Pulled the variator off today to check out the rollers, two of them were sideways and out of place, holding the ramp plate open. Fixed that and now it cruises easy at 45. Got to 53ish on GPS on flat ground. Its a dog going up big hills though.

Re: 2001 Elite 50
Its awesome. I think it may have the stock restricted ECU, but Im not sure. Honestly, going uphill, the SR50 is not much faster than my elite. On flat ground, its faster by about 5-10 mph. Downhill, game over, I had the SR up to 63 earlier and it handles great. Brembo brakes +13 inch tires= AWESOME ...

Re: 2001 Elite 50

I ordered my variator with express shipping from daywot on sunday, was supposed to be here between tuesday and yesterday, still no show :*: Oh well, hopefully it shows up t...
