Re: Epic Variator Fail! Carnage pictures and advice...
You need to measure the boss and ramp plates diameter always before installing. The ramp plate was too big in diameter and it allowed it to flop around side to side, which eventually caught a corner.

Re: Light weight drive face
With the Naruku you cant use the starter, it will chew it up. The pitch on the Naruku is greater than the PG and it isnt as tall (not as in diameter) as the stock or PG drive face, maybe 2 mm shorter. If you use it daily it will chew your belt up also as it forces it to ride extremely high in the fr...

Re: Light weight drive face
I would agree it should be only used for track purposes. It will ride the belt up extremely high. I couldnt see it causing any stripping of the crank unless youre a moron and dont look what your doing. You can do that with a stock one for that matter. Maybe with the S trans you cant tell a differenc...

Re: 86 Riva Jog
Those jogs soft seize a lot because of the oil feed line going to the oil pump, Ive owned 4 and 3 out of the 4 had oil send lines with holes in them. Great deal on the super grape jog!

Re: what causes this to happen?
No bull, my friends dads reader was a mercury marine from the 70s all brass looks like, about 7-8 inches tall and no flexible hose.
All the ones from HF were brand new each time, he went through 5 different brand new tester kits, Just bad luck of the draw sometimes.

Re: what causes this to happen?
My friend used the HFs on a running 4 stroke and got 0 psi first one, 50 something next one and never above 60 psi on 3 more. First time with father in laws showed 165 ha. When he called me and said hes getting 50 psi on it I told him return it again, came back and got less. I asked him if he held t...

Still interested in how your squish turned out, Only a few ways to make it good and raising the head isnt one of them lol. 155ish psi is still pretty high if the squish is poor, you lose so much power not setting it proper.

Re: what causes this to happen?
Its a snap on, you get them only through the snap on distributor. Its the same one I use that I paid 125 bucks for from the guy who comes to my friends mechanic shop. I would not buy one on ebay, I looked at the cases they send them in and they are not the same case I have. 125 was a very discounted...

Re: what causes this to happen?
Whats your squish going to be with that much more gasket? Im assuming youre at your max for port timing by raising the cylinder and the gasket is the only way to lower your compression at this point. double the head gasket and squish for certain is going to suffer.

Hey pauly, that avatar you have, is that from the oil rigs? My cousin is a rig master in the timor. They have to blow off excess gas and hes got a pic of the same sorts.
