Re: Need help, AF05E engine with 46mm BBK, no power.
Hi Paul, Thanks for the hint about rollers weight, I've checked, mines have 7,5 grs. and yes, when running at full throttle max. rev is not reached but if I accelerate with the rear wheel above ground it reaches much higher revs . What do you suggest for the rollers weight with my configuration? Reg...

Re: Need help, AF05E engine with 46mm BBK, no power.
Thanks Wheelman for the reply, I made a mistake on the above jet sizes: My original jet was 0,8 mm and I've replaced it with a slightly bigger one (Malossi petal Kit 273582). Plug (BPR8HS) picture is as follows, after a ride of 20 min. I've already replaced the CDI, but nothing changed. After a BBK ...

Re: How old is everyone?
Hi Wheelman, 4 years behind but your SA50 is much faster than mine NE50, so you will catch me very soon  PS: If you have some spare time I'd like to have your advice about my last post, mainly is my main jet lean or rich. Kind regards. Hola: They really are a marvel, aren't they? Engine, powert...

Need help, AF05E engine with 46mm BBK, no power.
Hi fellows Spree addicts, I'm back on my NE50 (Elite SE50P in USA) after an engine rebuilt (new rod, balancing crankshaft, new bearings, etc). It runs fine in idle, but when hot, at 1/2 throttle it has no power and engine makes a funny noise  My configuration is: AF05E engine. BBK 46mm, 62cc....

Need help, NE50-AF05 BBK tunning.
After the BBK modification my engine, when hot, sounds like an engine with displaced timing and poor :ndance: :ndance: performance. Verified carb, adjusted mixture many times, replaced CDI, replaced plug with an BPR8hs but problem remains. With throtle at 50% (40Km/h) it seems that I've and advanced...

Re: Engine starting after long inactivity on Ne50
Hi Wheelman, No stain under the bike, I assume that the small fuel quantity present in the pipe flows slowly trough the carb float valve inside the engine. Next time I've to crank untill the pipe and carb are filled. I've found the valve here at Honda dealer (very expensive 30 USD). I'll look into t...

Re: Engine starting after long inactivity on Ne50
I've found the reason for my problem: The fuel pipe from fuel Tank to Carburator gets empty after ~one week of no engine use.
I'll have to check or replace the carb float valve.
Where can I get this little part, Honda or is there any other supplier?
Regards

Re: Engine starting after long inactivity on Ne50
Thanks to you all for the many usefull replies. This type of "experience sharing" is only existing in USA. Yes I've checked the Battery open circuit current, it's zero on a 50uA multimeter scale. By-Starter was checked connecting it to a 12V battery+resistor and observing the needle moveme...

Re: Engine starting after long inactivity on Ne50
Many Thanks for yr. replies but my battery is a Varta (only reliable battery in Europe) and brand new. If the NE50 has a regular use I don't have any starting problems :coolcruise: . It it stays "sleeping" more than a week, then it does'nt start :ndance: , it only starts with the help of a...

Engine starting after long inactivity on Ne50
I've tried almost everything but after one week standby these little engines do not start. Battery goes empty and I've to do it manualy or use Start Pilote spray. I supose that the reason is "fuel in the carb evaporates". Anybody with the same problem? Better has anybody found a solution? ...

Re: Help: BBK piston seizure after 250Km
Tough luck! Pas de chance l'ami. I would say that the cylinder replacement d├®pends on how much damage there is inside...take a couple of pictures. Is it still seized? Yes. Then change the whole thing...it will be "soldered" together. A question I had asked before, without an answer : is ...
