Re: 70cc big bore kit and Mikuni VM20 on an Urban Express?
I was "warned" (seems kinda harsh) to post this in the technical advice section. Guess I can reply to your advise by saying the jet numbers you give don't seem to be Mikuni VM numbers. Thanks for taking the time to reply, however. Next post will be in "tech section"

70cc big bore kit and Mikuni VM20 on an Urban Express?
Need a little tech advice on tuning the VM20 to the engine, ie. what jet sizes to start with. Don't want to order a whole drawer full if someone can give me a starting point.

Re: Picture of modified Urban Express
As a side note, the rear fender is not authentic, just a generic fender cut and attached with screws into the frame in the rear. It is very difficult to find rear fenders for the Nu50 for some reason. But, after using this one, I liked the looks and when I finally found an authentic rear fender, I d...

Re: Picture of modified Urban Express
There ya go. just compare pictures. Painted silver fenders rather than chrome. Curved high rise bars rather than squared off. The 80s were all about rectangles and hard edges. The 60s were rounded and paint and no signals. I put on the smallest signal I could find. Even left them off the front for n...

Picture of modified Urban Express
I took a donor bike that the owner didn't want and decided to transform it from an 80s scooter into a 60s (my era) scooter to a certain extent.

Re: 1983 Urban Express almost completed
Benji atTreatland has been a great help in this project, but this time I decided to go to Barnett's and have one custom built so there'll be no (i hope) issues later. My order is in and I hope the results will be positive.

1983 Urban Express almost completed
Just a few more item to attend to then fire it up. Note that the transmission cover right now is an open ended test one. Can anyone point me to a 44" long single strand throttle cable? Motion Pro?

Original battery setup in 1983 modified Urban Express
I'm putting back together a 1983 Urban Express with 12v system. The wiring was all hacked up on the junker bike I acquired and I want to run it with the battery as Honda originally intended. I think the owner of this scooter had done the conversion to run without the battery after looking at the wir...

All done up with 6 tiny windows. Very time consuming, but satisfying all the same.

Variator windows or notches
Nave been reading about cutting window or notches in the Nu50 variator for obvious performance improvements, but am concerned about throwing the variator out of dynamic balance. Where would someone go to have a small piece like the variator checked for correct balance after doing the mod?

Side stand on a Honda NX50
Has anyone ever put a side stand on a Nu50 or Nx50? I'd like to put a Proma Circuit pipe on a Nx50, but the center stand gets in the way and I'd need to replace it with a suitable side stand.

Best way to plug the oil injector hole on a '83 nu50
I want to remove the oil pump on a rebuilt '83 Nu50. Rather than just disable the pump, I'd like to remove it and get it out of the way and switch to pre-mix. What is the best plug for the task?
