I dremmeled with the piston on and he cylinder off. You may very well be right. I scuffed the edge of the piston a little bit but was able to clean it up with 1000 sandpaper. Yea, just checked compression and it was a whopping 60 PSI :S

The rings did look a little worn although I wasn't even through my break in period.

Well it won't start now. Turns over like there is ok compression. I had to take the head off, ground the top of the piston with a dremmel to get rid of the black gunk. Then I reinstalled the head and it turned on but was less powerful
