1986 Honda Spree Bogging Under Throttle

I have a 1986 Honda Spree NQ50 (and I have an 85 Spree NQ50) and until yesterday the 86 ran great (despite the 3mm crescent gap between the cylinder & the exhaust flange). It is pushing a lot of the fuel charge out of that gap. There is white ashy scorch marks around that opening, and I am unsur...

Reed cage vacuum leak

I noticed today we're working on my 1985 Honda spree that there was a week at the reed cage where it meets up to the intake flange. I noticed it making a whistling sound and a bubbling when it sucks fuel. I've also noticed that the throttle stays on longer than it should be decelerating. It seems th...

1985 Honda spree almost all original

So yesterday I picked up a 1985 Honda spree oem original factory paint factory stickers 2700 miles. I paid 50 bucks for it as I didn't buy it with a title or license plates or a key. Today I got it started by swapping out the CDI off of my 1986 Honda spree and as soon as the gas filled the carbureto...

1985 Honda spree almost mint

So yesterday we were on craigslist looking for Honda mopeds and we happen to cross to 1985 Honda spree. It looked like it was in pretty good condition so I decided to go check it, a 30 mile drive on my 1986 Honda spree with a homemade trailer behind it. I got up there after a 2 hour drive and it loo...

Re: No power after half throttle 12mph

Yes it is an 86 Honda Spree. I was going to use some simple green with the nuts and bolts in the tank and shake it like crazy. If rust pieces got into the fuel shutoff device how can it be cleaned?

No power after half throttle 12mph

Yesterday when I was riding home with a buddy I was in the mood to do wheelies and some field riding. After about 10 minutes and a few near crashes my scoot started acting like it was running out of gas. I was able to limp it to a gas station to fill it up. After opening the tank I saw some little f...

Re: Spree wheel paint opinion

The Red / Black combo is flawless =). Very good detail work I am in the process of painting mine. I am going for a triple black 'murdered out' look.

Re: 86 Spree Industrial / Skelly Build...

Yeah I dont think it needs a speedo either I would rather tuck away the wires for brake sensors / engine on and delete the rest of the wiring down to the ignition so that I could maybe run a BMX / DirtBike style bars? What are the options for these types of setup?

What to do with my handlebars...

I have an 86 Spree with the fender removed, trimmed rear fairings, black on black paint, and the top speedo removed along with the top & bottom plastic speedo covers. I like the industrial steam-punk skelly look, I am trying to find a clean set of bars to run on top of the tree with my stock spr...

Re: Riding to Hempstalk 2012 today on mah`Spree

Lol I know right this park is like a 4 by 5 mile park and has lots of little trails and cut-throughs and a sand beach on the outer edge. Very tempting to ride through, moreso when 'enlightened'. Im glad Ill be there all day no sense riding back from such a wonderful event stoned, =P.

Riding to Hempstalk 2012 today on mah`Spree

So today's weather is supposed to be mid 80's and sunshine. At Kelley Point Park (Portland, OR) there is one of the biggest events on pro-cannabis pro-hemp culture... I figured what a opportunity for a scenic 10 mile ride along Marine Drive on the water, and with the parking situation at the event a...
