My guess and only a guess is that leads to one of the holes that face the intake tube/air filter at the bottom of the carb intake tube. It allows air into the bowl in order for gas to leave and/or enter the bowl. If you had only a gas in (float needle) and gas out (main jet and idle circuit) you wou...

A) No spark condition causing the gas to be unburned. B) By starter not closing enriching circuit therefore at full choke 100% of the time C) You have hooked up the gas line to the vacuum pick up and are unloading gas straight into the crankcase. D) Download the service manual from this site and sta...

Oiling of air filter is to trap dirt has nothing to do with air flow. Your bystarter enriching circuit is clogged, or your idle circuit is clogged not letting gas into the choke assembly to choke the engine. Your bystarter might also be stuck in the closed position. Clean the little brass jet in the...

I have also been able to get my local honda dealer to match service hondas discount price, becuase I save them time by just asking for the part numbers. Since they do not stock the parts they have no investment in the part so knocking 20% off the price gives them a repectable 5-10% profit and saves ...

FINISHED....first I would like to thank Noiseguy, Vette76, Mikehailwood, Paul in Freeport, and all the others that had to live with my posts. I ended up breaking the plastic clips that hold the needle and barrel on the bystarter. Oh well...I just put the needle and barrel in the carb and plugged it ...

Yeah, so log on there and get the part numbers off their exploded documents by hovering your mouse over the "add to cart" button

Then go to servicehonda and order...trust me the site is worth it cause it shows more detail then the service manual on some parts.

Look at my post, same thing I was having compression was off, and the auto bystarter o-ring was allowing the fuel/air mixture to go rich causing the spark plug to get wet. If the carb is clean and holes are unclogged I would check for a vacuum leak. Fixed mine with a $0.67 oring and re-torquing the ...

Check continuity from ground to - light socket to positive side of socket back to wiring harness. You have either a broken wire or a corroded one whose resistance is high enough to not allow current to flow.

Use a large adjustable pliers/channel lock and turn while pulling it out...It is just a rubber stopper/friction holding it in.

Ok, retorqued and reused new head gasket showed 114-115 psi....so we are good there. Finally got it to respond like it should if I disconnected and removed the auto-bystarter and put my thumb over the hole. If I held my thumb there it would idle perfectly started in like 1 second and would throttle ...

I checked the idle circuit and the little pin hole at the bottom of the chamber with a light in a dark room, and I could see light through it. I will retorque the old head gasket and see what I get...I have ordered a new one that should be here Friday. Won't kill me to put the jug back on and test. ...
