Honda Spree top end kit problems.
I have recently purchased 3 stock 49 cc top end kits off ebay. Each time I've installed them, I've had good runners for about two weeks, and then while riding they seem to seize up. Waiting a few minutes, you can restart them and go again. Two of the three kits have failed, having the bottom ring go...

Honda spree starters
Hello all. I perused a bit, but can't find any useful info on where to get replacement starter motors. It looks like their scarce on ebay. I have two weak burnt up ones, does anyone have a good source for a shop that can redo these? I took one apart and cleaned it and such, but it did no good.

Honda Hobbit, PA 50
Greetings all. My riding buddy has broken rings on his 79 PA 50 Moped from a wrist pin clip coming loose. I have searched cheapcycle, treatland, and ebay, and am having a bugger of a time finding anything for this. 2 yr ago he put on a 60cc jug and piston, and I can't find that anymore either. Can a...

Wish I wasn't so swamped with lawn mower repairs so I could see if mine would start!

Re: 86 spree won't run
My 84 spree has a very porous yellow air filter. My 86 has a dense grey air filter. Is there any preference in these? I put the dense one in my 84 because it looked better, but is it going to hurt performance?

Honda Spree turn signals
Nearly every spree I've interacted with has had faulty turn signal(s). Messing around with a low miler this morning I discovered that a VW Beetle turn signal relay, which has 2 prongs worked perfectly and restored everything to working order. It also does not hurt to check for corrosion on all the p...

Re: 79 Honda NC50 Express, barn fresh.
Culli, I have two sprees, two homebuilt scooters, and now an express. Nuts is a polite word, my wife thinks my collection is collossally ridiculous. I got rid of a 73 Beetle and the grand total of my bikes still doesn't equal its value, so I told her to "cut me some slack"..LOL Btw, I scrap...

Re: 79 Honda NC50 Express, barn fresh.
Thanks Pat. Also, I fix mowers, and while perusing my scrap pile today I spied an air cleaner assembly from a late 80's wisconsin robin 2 stroke motor off from a Snapper push mower. The hole is the right size for the carb and it fits perfect, and somewhat resembles the original except its metal. Who...

Re: Honda Spree Floorboard
Good idea. I may know where two of those are too. I recently acquired an aftermarket petcock cover in black from a member here on ebay. It painted up perfectly with primer, a coat of white, and a coat of off-white.

Re: Honda Spree Floorboard
I'll try the fusion. I've had good luck with it too. The off-white color matches my 84 perfectly, I just hate the white floorboard-I'm going black on the tread. A floorboard from a black spree doesn't look the best.

Martynkim, I'll be screwing with this thing shortly to look for a spark of life. If the carb's ok and I can get spark it should run. At which point I WILL be contacting you for the rest. Maybe we can bundle a deal? Thanks for getting in touch.

Sweet. I am hoping this thing sputters to life. It is such a basic design, I love it. Here's the photo:

79 Honda NC50 Express, barn fresh.
Thought I'd throw this out there in case any of you had one....I acquired a 79 Honda Express the other day. The cyl looks good. It is missing the muffler, flywheel cover, air cleaner and rear fender. I know very little about this bike other than a few internet articles. Ebay doesn't have much for th...
