Have you tried starting it with another spark plug?

Re: Honda Aero Will not start!
My 1985 Aero will not start if the throttle is stuck open.
So, perhaps the throttle cable on your Aero needs adjusting.

Re: Will a GY6 Variator work / fit a Elite S Dio?
I'm not sure if this is relevant.
I use gy6 variator in my 85 nb50. I use the drive boss and the ramp plate from the original variator due to the size of the crankshaft.
It fits fine and it works fine.

Re: Honda Aero 125
Unplug one of the wires to the bystarter. Run the scooter. If it still runnning after five minutes, then the carb is still clogged somewhere and your bystarter is most likely in good condition.

Any 16x13 rollers or sliders will fit in the nb50 variator.

Re: 1985 nb50 belt troubles
The rollers could be out of place. That usually happens when the belt breaks or the drive face comes loose while the engine is running.
Spinning rear tire while idling (1800 rpm or less) is a good indication of out of place rollers.
Grinding noise from the variator is another one.
