Re: Need HELP identifying this "AF05E" engine!

I have a good cylinder for it. Someone stuck a af05e jug on my sa50. I got a new correct one off ebay.

Re: Piston issue + lean issue for the experts

mmeadows yes it will fit on all four ways. You want to keep fins flowing from fan blade off crank/flywheel, and you will see too much offset if its wrong.

Re: 86 spree throttle to carb removal help

You'll get a lot of help on this one. The nut on top will come off pretty easily, sometimes only hand tight. You can take the cable, the slide and spring out all at once. just leave it on the cable unlesss you need to clean it. There are two bolts that come from the back side, and you will need to d...

Re: Spree - Carb -o- Death

If the spree dies when you give it throttle, that is usally an air leak. Make sure you have the air box and filter in place before you try to ride. I have worked on lots of engines in 40+ years and normally you can run/test motors with air filter box off, and not have issues. I was having crazy hig...

Makes you wonder. I saw he had a brake light I could use, but I don't need drugs or nothing.

I don't know of anyone who would buy this. He even has more stuff he's selling including a f.u.b.r. piston.

Re: A word on carbon build up, and rusted brake cables

I pulled the cable from the cam first thing, process of elimination. I also removed the cable before hooking up to a battery. I didn't want to melt anything. BTW I held the battery cables on for about 5 to 10 seconds until smoke came out of the sheath, and not sure how hot to get it. Seems the cable...

Re: '00 honda elite S dies @18mph with throttle fully engage

The main jet has my vote, I was able to pull the whole tube out, which is not recomended because its easy to damage. I had a parts carb that I used to practice on. Best off letting it set in carb cleaner overnight. Good luck, don't forget to check plugged exhaust possibilities.

Re: Jug, crank case not same year I suspect.

A little confused.... The gasket honda no. 12191-gs7-680 was the correct no. for my bike, 1988 elite sa50. http://i286.photobucket.com/albums/ll98/JeepManEd/IMG_5523_zps09049259.jpg The gasket fits my block, is that a af16? The cylinder head does not match perfectly, it had no gasket on it when I fi...

Re: A word on carbon build up, and rusted brake cables

Well it was fun trying, but didn't help. A word of caution though for anyone trying. If you plan on using the battery thats currently in your vehicle, disconnect one side from your vehicle, so you do not short out your computor or anything else. I seen Taz's and may get one come payday. I did manage...

Re: Jug, crank case not same year I suspect.

Think I may have found what it is....a se50 gasket looks like this.

On second thought found an 87 elite cylinder head that looks like mine.

Jug, crank case not same year I suspect.

Not sure what is going on, I suspect someone put on a later model or another model jug. Trying to re-ring and wondering what I have here. I ordered honda part 12191-gs7-680 for my 88 elite sa50 http://s286.photobucket.com/user/JeepManEd/media/IMG_5520_zpsed751ad8.jpg.html http://s286.photobucket.com...
