I accidently mushroomed mine before. I barely tapped on it either that's the thing. I ended up chamfering the edge of the rod with the dremel and it popped back in. I didn't have to take much off at all.diomike wrote:ithinki mushroomed it Grrrrrrrrrrrrrr......

I have already ordered a stiffer rear contra spring from vt cycles and will update when I have it installed. Cool! 8) I look forward to hearing about it. We'll if the starter wasn't bad before, it is now... I fried it... I connected the battery straight to the starter.. it seemed to turn a bit stronger, but still not strong or fast enough to start it.. The wires got pretty warm, saw a few sparks, and eventually fried the starter.. Pulled the starter...

Lacking Midrange
Mine is an AF27 Dio, the CDI units didn't come in until the AF28. The only restriction on mine was the front pulley, which is long gone! :D Like I say, top speed is NOT a problem. The gearing in the mid range is the issue here. I have a 2000 DIO SR model and have exactly the same problem. It launch...
