Re: '84 Honda Gyro starting issues

Alright, so for an update. I pulled the replacement starter to do a bench test and it spins perfectly in a counter-clockwise direction. Which I believe is the right direction. However when it is installed it just returns to the clicking. When I had the starter pulled I felt the gears inside and it s...

Re: Honda Gyro Random Loss Of Acceleration

Do you find the hesitation is also linked to the transmission shifting? I've had Gyro's which had shifting issues. 10-15 mph is about the right speed for it. There seems to be a pretty close correlation with the gyro shifting and seeing a loss of acceleration. Have you seen that with your gyro's? F...

Honda Gyro Random Loss Of Acceleration

Alright so... I have my Gyro running and it idles fine. The problems come when I'm riding it. SOMETIMES it will accelerate fine up to about 10mph... then it sort of peaks and won't accelerate for 20 seconds or so... then it will pick up and quickly get up to top speed. SOMETIMES it will be a slow ac...

Re: Honda Gyro WHITE SMOKE from exhaust

Thanks a lot everyone! Smoke is decreased and almost non existent. I will head to the honda dealer and pick up some GN2 today! Another question: the gyro seems to lose power right around 10-15mph and then it will take quite a long time to accelerate up to top speed. Any ideas? I have the Gyro in pei...

Re: Honda Gyro WHITE SMOKE from exhaust

Alright so I've been riding it off and on all throughout the day and the amount of WHITE SMOKE has decreased significantly! So more than likely it does just need to burn out. As far as the oil goes I want to change it considering the oil in it is 20+ years old. And forgive me if I come off as stupid...

Honda Gyro WHITE SMOKE from exhaust

Hey guys, I just picked up a 1986 Honda Gyro on craigslist and since I've had it I've cleaned the carb, installed a brand new air filter, new battery, cleaned fuel lines and tank and I was pretty easily able to start it after that. The only problem is that a lot of white smoke is pouring out of the ...

Spree Paint Job: "HOW-TO" Step By Step Directions

Hey! So, a while back I asked if any of you would like a ÔÇ£how-toÔÇØ on paint jobs, some of you said yes, so here it is. Hopefully it can help some people out. I'm currently in the process of repainting by 87 Spree and figured I would make a how-to for painting your scoot. The reason I'm creating t...

Re: Honda Spree Floorboard

I've used Krylon Fusion spray cans on my Spree and it seems to be holding up pretty well. Lightly sand all of it before hand, that way the paint will have something to grip on to. Just make sure and do plenty of coats especially on the floorboard.

Paint jobhow-to

Hey,

First post!

I've used this site so many times I figured it's time I actually join and contribute.

I'm in the process of painting my Spree right now and wondered if I should make a how-to/step-by-step for the process? I'd be happy to if you all think it's a good idea.
