Do you know what the crankshaft outside diameter is ? I would like to measure it to make sure it's still in tolerance all around.

The service manual shows a picture of the finned pulley not a solid one. The issue I have is that the inside diameter became bigger and started wobbling and started to shave the case. just had a new crankshaft put in with seals. the compression is fine, idles good - top end is good - speeds up to 31 top speed.

My son is taking the 86 spree to college. He will be keeping it parked outside. I assume as it gets colder it will be harder to start it. What is the battery recommendation for longer cranking power. Thanks in advance.

Well.. Here it goes. Should have done more research but did not. Bought a used 86 spree and belt ripped a week later. Checked to see what the issue is and it appears that the crankshaft that holds front outer pulley is completely stripped. Splines and threads. What do I do now. If I buy a new crankc...
