Email Richardson for a new "correct" one. If the horn pulls more than 3 or 4A, it probably won't work with the Spree. Aftermarket horn that use less than that should.

Poo? No, it looks good. I would add that one cause for no spark is a bad coil or spark plug cap.

If it runs with the missing o-ring at all, it will run lean and possibly burn a ring after awhile. Mine wouldn't start at all with this part missing. I don't know the dimensions. If you have a caliper and micrometer, or are really good with a scale, you should be able to measure the inner diam of th...

After looking at the engine more closely, it's obvious that the original poster (whoever it was) either didn't know what he was talking about, or was very careless in listing his numbers. You'd smack the piston into the head, even slowly rotated by hand, if you took .060" off the head. And taki...

BTW, a word on head to piston clearance: I have no idea what minimum head to piston clearance can be run. If you talk with guys that work on KZ1000s, which were a roller crank and piston pin engine, the minimum clearance was .040". Any smaller and the piston would smack the head. On mopedarmy.c...

I ended up milling about .017" off the head. This pulled the piston/head clearance down to .028" all the way around. Stock running clearance is .045". All the measurements are +/- .001; the piston top has a grained surface and is hard to get a good measure on. I'm using electrical sol...

Please put your location in your profile

All, Please put your location in your profile. This allows people that live close to each other to get together for rides, part swapping, etc. I'm not looking for an address, just a city and state. You'll never know who lives nearby otherwise. Subsituting a major city for a suburb might also be easi...

That came out sharp. Did you use rattlecan for that, or a gun?

I started on putting together a red/white paintjob on mine. I stopped for awhile to see if I can get it going faster b/f I finish it off.

You will probably want to right click on the above link, and choose "Save Target As..." rather than letting your browser open it up as a PDF. Esp. those with modems.

Well, port timing and exhaust for one. Spree is also a single speed, whereas the Zuma may have a variator. Anyone else?

Make sure if it's a car charger, that it's not putting out more than 2 amps or so. Even at 2 amps you can cook a battery at anything over an hour.

Cheap motorcycle chargers, 1A or so, are available at car places for $10 or so.

On DOHC CB750/900/1100, the only way to clean a blocked idle jet is with a #80 drill bit, which is close to the right size. The jet is not replacable. If the idle jet's replaceable, get a new one. You could try soaking the whole carb in carb cleaner, but if you do you need to remove everything that'...
