Re: 87 Spree - No power
Your bottom end may have filled up with oil over the winter. Check your plug for fouling. For rings, you just need to check compression. The "dies under WOT" is often air leaks around the intake / airbox. So check those. I'll let other chime in about the main bearing seals, which I've hear...

Re: Honda Lead NH50
If you pull off the factory airbox and change main jet, you'll see a big change in the fuel consumption.

Re: '86 Spree 10,000 Mile Club
Not many of those bike make it that long on the road. It's a lot of travel for a bike that does 30 mph. I've owned ~6 of these and never seen a 10K odometer.

No, I'm pretty sure the property was legit, he probably inherited it. FL "property" varies a lot; a lot in Miami =/= some swamp acreage around Okeechobee. Believe it was more like the latter.

Re: Grrr!!
You need to drain that oil from the bottom end. It won't start like that if it's full. Requires pulling the jug and inverting the case. You need to do compression test with throttle open and fully charged battery. Anything over 60 PSI will fire up, but 100 PSI is closer to where it should be. No ide...

12 mph on those dual foam SA50 filters? I've never heard that before. I stopped making them except on request b/c very few people bought them on the ecommerce sites.

Re: Honda SA50 Headlight Replacement?
@noiseguy - ok now Im getting it, you’re design eliminates the whole lens and everything. Would be cool if there was a way to use some cheap and readily available automotive light bulb in it for long term replacement. Idk much about the leds but wonder if there’s a market standard type of thing ava...

Re: Honda SA50 Headlight Replacement?
My only concern is how tight the space is in there behind the bulb with the wiring and speedo cable. That's not an issue. The LED modules are flat; the only reason this "bulb" is that size is b/c it uses the existing mounting. I'll PM you the details. The only downside I see is that there...
