I have been trying to get an 85 Aero 50 running right. It has sat for about that long too.I got it running and it bogs out also.I have tried about everything.I did find that my idle jet was plugged when I got it.It would start and only idle until the bystarter closed and it would stall. If it runs wit...

I am not sure about the charging yet.I was getting some weird readings so I got a new meter tonight and started to do some tests over(old meter was flaking out).I got more accurate readings this time on things I re-did so far.I rechecked my regulator and I was getting open circuits on the checks tha...

Thanks-I missed that.I did my voltage checks on the bike and the red wire on the reg. was 14.5 volts DC-Yellow wire was 7.7 volts AC,white wire was 13Volts AC.I do not have any means to measure RPM's so these were at what I thought seemed like a good idle.Any rule of thumb to go by as how to set thi...

Thanks for the voltage readings. Now I can go verify some unknowns.I may be dealing with a weak spark on this thing possibly.Which may explain why it idles and revs on the center stand, but under load it won't fire the fuel.Just a thought.I am beating myself over the head with this problem. Also, do y...
