thanks for all the input.So should I be running premix in every tank of gas?I was told to add maybe a 1/4 ounce of oil to my first tank.Also, would you say a 90 jet would be large enough?I was told after the fact to go 2 sizes over the original which was a #80.I thought the #85 would have been enough.

My Aero did the same thing when I started it.Ran good for a few minutes then bogged out.After weeks of frustration and countless trouble shooting I put new reed valves in and that solved the problem.

Should I use some gasket shelac or other sealant to hold the base gasket in place?

thanks-The cylinder wall does have some scratches.How much honing should I do?Should I hone till the scratches are gone?Never did this before.

thanks-I will give it a try.I never saw gas evaporate that fast that the bowl would get low in acouple of days.It always seemed to have plenty of gas in it.

I just talked to someone that had an Aero 50 with no power under load and they found their gaskets to beleaking around the reed valve assy. by spraying starter fluid around it while running.So, it pays to check this area out when loosing power.
