cleaned the carb a week ago... the best cleaning ever.... i left the bike stiing for a week... stated it up -- it tried to start one time -- but then again wouldn't turn over.. I sprayed some Starting Fluid into the carb -- and it started right up-- i came back a few hours later -- it started right ...

it's like it's in the "off" position -- and you try to start it... it cranks but no "vroom"

battery is fine.. it cranks just wont turn over..

I have a 84 spree.... stored it for the winter... i cleaned the carb really well.. re-installed the carb.. had to use starter fluid to get the spree running.,.. but once i got it running...the spree ran beautifully... it worked great for a couple of days -- the other day.. i went to start it and cra...

Spark Plug

I just bought a new spark plug for my 84 spree... it had a "ring" (looked like a washer") at the top of the part you screw in...

Does that need to be removed? Or Do I keep it on?

After many years of cleaning my carb... i think I finally figured something out.. Whenever I would clean my carb, i would unscrew the screw from the main jet... but I failed to clean the screw... So.. i could see light when I removed the screw... but not when I had it back in... I took a chance and ...

I just went to register my Elite 80 and found out I needed insurance.. the first quote I got was $275 for the year...

i have an elite 80 1997 ... the horn does not work.. there seems to be a spring missing on the button... anyone know how to test wheter I can test to see if the horn even works???

wont start after sitting for a few days

Hey all..

I put a new bystarter in my 84 Honda Spree.. runs nice.. except after a few days of sitting idle.. the spree will only start with the assistance of starting fluid (ugh!)...

after using starter fluid -- the 'ol spree runs fine.


Any suggestions? 8)
