i just picked up a 1985 aero 80 and the signals flash a couple times and just hold in the on position when i use them, is this normal or is the flasher relay buggered?

i have the same issue on one of my scoots i think it may be the reeds but i haven't tested this theory
edit: mine happens at 40-45mph

sounds like the starter button is stuck in the on position (or the wiring is such) the starter is only suppose to engage when a brake is held in and the button is pushed, normally
