Re: 2 throttle cables? Noob

Yea, but this is a factory service manual. I expected better. IMO, illustrated or fiche type drawings are MUCH better than photographs for these type of illustrations. I hate those Chilton books lol. I'm dead set factory service manual or don't bother. But in this situation...I had no other option. ...

Re: 2 throttle cables? Noob

Just got my motocompo manual in. Found one for a good price! Its in english/french/german. So...here is a snip from manual regarding setting the oil pump but man its hard to see with the 80's style dark photo. Can't make out what exactly I'm supposed to line the mark up to. Re: 2 throttle cables? Noob

Yes I hunted for a manual last night and found no pdfÔÇÖs. Did you find a PDF manual that I could buy?? I would be up for a link...I could only find paper copies from Europe or Australia that will take 2 weeks to arrive. IÔÇÖm thinking yellow is correct as the line actually is close to the needle wh...

Re: 2 throttle cables? Noob

Motocompo was under a tarp for a few months in the garage...now back at ÔÇÿer Got the sticking throttle fixed. I had the handlebars powder coated. The coating was thicker than stock bars so I sanded them down and where the throttle rides and problem solved! Back to oil pump...there is 2 markings. Ci...

Re: 2 throttle cables? Noob

Yes mine is red like that one. My brother has a white one. IÔÇÖm located in Canada. I purchased mine from New Zealand and it was shipped via ups like a regular package. I always thought that was funny that itÔÇÖs so small it was shipped via post ;) Ok. How do I prime the oil pump...and how often do ...

Re: 2 throttle cables? Noob

Hey thanks guys. I will give that a go. I just figured by running premixed fuel that comes factory premixed 50:1, I canÔÇÖt damage anything. DonÔÇÖt think for the moment the motocompo is special. They produced boat loads of them in japan, and it was built to be cheap and light. IÔÇÖll let u guys kno...

Re: 2 throttle cables? Noob

I plan on running premixed fuel only as the bike will be used very little. This way I only have to drain the fuel tank when storing it....and I donÔÇÖt have to worry about oil injection calibration. Could I just disconnect the oil injection cable? IÔÇÖd imagine I have to also disconnect the power to...

2 throttle cables? Noob

Ok...so itÔÇÖs not a spree but the closest forum I can find that is similar motor to my Honda motocompo Still havenÔÇÖt fired the thing up yet. My throttle cable is pretty stiff and does not go back when I twist the throttle unless I manually twist it back...so I went and traced the throttle cable. ...

Re: Occasional use motocompo fuel type

Hate when guys collect and donÔÇÖt drive. So with that this fuel is supposed to be 10x longer lasting in the tan...

Occasional use motocompo fuel type

Finally have my brand new never started motocompo back together. I got it from a owner in new zeland a few years ago...took it to the frame and powder coated it, then re assembled it. ItÔÇÖs never been started and the carb is sparkling like new inside. With that said, I plan to use it occasionally m...

Motocompo headset bearings (probably same as spree)

Good day, I took my motocompo apart last year to give the frame a powdercoating. Just putting it back together and I'm not sure how to re-assemble the headset bearings? I've got all the parts loose in a bag...but there appears to be a top/bottom and I'm not sure what is the right way. I assume the s...

Re: Trying to remove wheel bearings...

Ok...so a bearing press won't work? I'm trying to press them out on a bearing press shop tool, does it not do the same thing as the puller (just in opposite direction?)

Let me know
