Re: Bystarter operation

Never mind, as I believe that I found the answer here. If there are any more details that you can add, please do so. Thank you.

Re: Help with an electrical problem

I checked for power while cranking the engine (figured there wouldn't be any voltage with the key in the run position) and got none. Obviously, from what you're telling me, there shouldn't be any power at that point in time (until the engine is up and running), which leads to another question. Why w...

Re: '86 Spree won't start..

The '85 NQ50 that I just worked on had an auto fuel valve (some refer to it as a petcock.......... the part that attaches to the front of the fuel tank with the two lines coming off of it) that was stuck because the machine had been sitting for a while with old gas in the tank. Help with an electrical problem

Checked almost every possibility in the downloadable pdf manual for a Spree ('85 NQ50 with 12/84 build date) that won't start, but to no avail. Bad '85 NQ50 auto fuel valve?

This is my brother's '85 NQ50 so I don't know much about the history. According to my brother, the thing was running fine and then just stopped running while his son was riding it around. I've gone through the service manual and done some checking. The ignition is fine as it will start with a few dr...

'83 NQ50 F won't start

Ran great a couple of summers ago and then just quit running. Has been sitting for the past 1 1/2 years. Doesn't seem to be getting spark and/or gas. Where should I start.

Thank you for your time and consideration. Rob
