Re: '86 Aero build. 60mph?
From the title alone I would have posted this thread in the performance technical section, then maybe when the build was done, or close to it, make the build thread in the builds section. I'm all for questions about a build in build threads, but the amount of questions and discussion about how to g...

Re: '86 Aero build. 60mph?
Mouse is just trying to save the thread from going sideways, although I'd leave it up to the OP but that's why I'm not a mod ha! Either way maybe post a link to the in between talk where it left off, kind of like a spoiler link, then resume the thread with in its own body in chronological order. we...

I bet. I was hitting around 40 on mine before it blew, and it wasn't even running right. I just put a Ruckus variatior in it and waiting to get the motor put back together. We shall see how fast I can make her go.

Re: '86 Aero build. 60mph?
The 3 petal design works on the af16, I'd just get some boyesen reeds and be done with that area. No other reed block works with out an adapter, are you going to run the stock carb? You're going to be hard pressed to hit 60 on stock gears, the malossi gears work well but you're going to be pushing ...

Re: '86 Aero build. 60mph?
So another problem I ran into is the reeds. The reeds that came with the Malossi BBK I got (part #316405) are different then the reeds that are stock on the bike. Do I have ti get a different reed cage in order to run these reeds? The stock has two reeds and the aftermarket ones have 3 reeds.

I got the 62cc malossi kit from red eft. I had the rings in the cylinder but it wasn't lined up correctly so I was trying to turn the cylinder and the bottom ring broke.

Re: '86 Aero build. 60mph?
Well I broke a piston ring today trying to put the new BBK on. Hopefully I can get new rings for it. If not has anyone ever tried to run a single ring on a piston that is suppose to have two? I know it probably won't last as long but will it work?
