Hey guys, I know this is a Honda site but, does anyone know anything about a Verucci vc50ts 3m, I got one super cheap ($40) but it doent start, or even crank with starter, Im sure its electrical, but what would be a good place to start?

I just replaced the carburetor on my 99 elite 50s, which corrected runaway condition, but when I ride it, as I accelerate it bogs down/ hesitates for a couple of seconds and then takes off and winds up to top speed. its like a hiccup in its acceleration curve.

If I increase the air intake flow with a better air filter, and swapped out the main carburetor jet for a slightly larger one would the higher air flow, and more fuel balance out, thus giving me a few more mph?

It already goes 40

yeah, the elite already has, a variator , and belt upgrade, and goes about 40 mph, I am considering a big bore kit, and upgraded exhaust, and maybe upgraded carb and intake later.

Thanks everyone for your advice, maybe Ill just leave the spree alone, and build up my 99 elite instead

Is there anything I can do to an 86 stock spree to get at least close to 40mph without tearing into the engine? Maybe changing the following, or a combo of exhaust, intake, carb jets, gear ratios, de-restricting etc.?

Thanks, I think ill just leave the stock airbox on for now. As I said I put a new carburetor on the bike, and I used the stock throttle assy as it sits, but I noticed that the needle that came with the new carb seems thicker, should I change the needle, or just leave it be, would the stock thinner n...

Oh, and what size od filter should I get?

I decided to cut out the middle man so to speak, and ordered a new carburetor, put it on ,and it fired right up, and is driveable. I just need to dial in the idle speed. Now that that's fixed, Is there an air filter that anyone would recommend ? Id like to replace the air box with a clamp on air fil...

I have read recently that swapping out the stock drive belt for a AX-23 belt will give me about 5 more mph, is this true? Would any of you advise for or against it? I'm new to scooters and I don't want to do damage for a few mph more.
