Re: UpDate 01/01/15 now Running Lean
Greetings: Perhaps I jumped the gun, a little, assuming that a red-hot exhaust pipe is "overheating". My buddies and I used to light cigars off the header pipes of our CT70s all the time during my misspent youth. So what CHTs are you seeing? Is the engine really dangerously hot, or just b...

Re: UpDate 01/01/15 now Running Lean
Greetings: That much change in temperature simply isn't explained by that small change in displacement. Harley-Davidson sells kits to make the 883 into a 1200. The slow jet barely changes, if at all. The main goes up a couple of sizes, and that's it. That's for an increase from 3" to 3.5"...

Re: Exciter Coil Ch/Cn250 Ac Voltage
I did a ohms test and got 43.6 ohm Spec is 50-250 ohms. Make sure the CDI is unplugged for this test. A low ohms reading AND low output volts points to a short in the exciter coil. Shorted turns kill the output voltage, because most energy is wasted within the shorted turns. when i crank over the m...

I think my exciter coil just went out :*: I did a ohms test and got 43.6 ohm and when i crank over the motor I only get 5.36V AC I know thats to low to charge the AC Cdi to make it work. Does any one have a idea what the normal Ac output is for the exciter coil? Any help would be appreciated.Thanks.

Re: NQ-50 Help
Greetings: The Sea-Doo reed trick is most welcome - and previously unheard! - information. The Spree is extremely sensitive to air-box vacuum. I've never built one to run, but time and time-again people report a stock Spree won't run at all without tight box connections, a filter element and a lid ...
