Re: Cdn Dio - Polini Contessa BBK build
It could've been overheating from the beginning but I haven't add it at wot for a while for such a long stretch. I will check for air leaks though, thx!

Re: Cdn Dio - Polini Contessa BBK build
So I'm back, been a while. I had it in the mountains a couple of weeks ago and my temp was climbing on a straight stretch at wot so I throttled back to cool down. Now I'm retuning the mj and just went up to a 108 from a 102, but I'm not finished yet as my Temps hit 396. So in the next couple of nigh...

So what is your max tire pressure Wheelman? 32psi?
I'm definitely going to increase mine, but I wanted to see what others are at.

I'd like to know also what Johnny asked:
What is everyone running for air pressure?
I'm running recommended 18psi front, 26psi rear.

Re: Polini Clutch Questions - 3G type
So I took it out on the open road last night and it appears that I lost some top end speed though it might have been my gps app that wasn't working correctly. I'll try it again tonight and if I get the same results, I'll have to install heavier weights. There probably is a sweet spot, but I have to ...

Yep. Haven't touched the clutch. When it warms up on Wednesday, I'll take it out for a longer run.

Re: Polini Clutch Questions - 3G type
So an update. I just change my rollers so far, in 3 stages: from 35.7 to 33.3 to 30. Bam! 30 was the sweet spot! Launches great, but I still have to do more testing, but the weather is kinda cold right now. MTF...

Re: Bike won't move , idles great!! But won't move!
Greetings: This was a lesson my Dad taught me as a young lad, but it was on a Lawn Boy mower with a defective "Off" switch that probably put out less than half the voltage of Honda's electronic coil. But that's story for another day... Ha Ha Wheelman, my dad did the same thing. I think it...

Re: Polini Clutch Questions - 3G type
Also, if u put the blues in by the time the clutch grabs your rpms have reached a point where the rollers will have the vari shifted into a higher gear. Imagine trying to pull off the line in 3rd.. So ur weights need to be 6gm or less and run a heavier contra also to hold the belt into a lower gear...

Re: Polini Clutch Questions - 3G type
Thanks for all of the tips. I hope to be able to work on the scoot tonight or tomorrow night. I let you all know the outcome.
Right now, with the yellow springs, its a slow launch and I would like it to pull a bit faster from a start. I do weight 200lbs, so it has lots to pull.

Re: Polini Clutch Questions - 3G type
ok, sounds good. I'll try the blues ones.
Next question: I've always just used water pump pliers to take the clutch nut off, but I want to buy the correct socket after work today: what size socket will I need? I think I saw somewhere that it's 31mm...
