Re: How much air is too much/doesnt matter for a 84 Spree?
Greetings: The flow-limiting factor isn't the bottomed of the fuel tank, lambda. That'd be the fixed size of the pilot circuit cast into the little Keihin PA carb body. A steady hand, super-fine gauge wire and a lot of luck would be required to enlarge it. Nobody I have read has succeeded. Mess it ...

QQ: This picture good for Spree Plugchops?
Do these pictures of plugchops apply to doing the same with a Spree? http://www.kawtriple.com/mraxl/carb/plugchops2.jpg Below is a series of plug chops ranging from extremely rich to slightly lean. http://www.kawtriple.com/mraxl/carb/plugchops.jpg Source EDIT: A better question, is plug chopping uni...

Are there events to score scooters or scooter parts? I'm talking about things like flea markets and such.

Re: What Honda Motor is Most Comparable to Spree's Shape-wi
Would an Aero 80 or 125 fit just as well? I'd like to be able to definitely go 40 for my city's streets.

Re: What Honda Motor is Most Comparable to Spree's Shape-wi
For a 40-50mph budget motor, the aero is a good fit. A dio isn't really more work, it's just more expensive. If you don't think you want to do 60, then an aero motor will work. But, I wouldn't pay more than $200 for a complete aero motor. If you do you'll regret not going dio. The dio spree, in sto...

What Honda Motor is Most Comparable to Spree's Shape-wise?
I've seen how many people have put in engines in their Sprees from Aeros, Elites, even a GY6. I understand that putting in a different motor requires at least a little bit of fabrication. Also, for it to be worth the trouble, you would want it to have a bit more power, say 75+cc? What of those motor...

Re: How much air is too much/doesnt matter for a 84 Spree?
Greetings: Johnniespeed, I haven't run a Spree yet, but the idea is that the Pilot circuit is TINY in the Spree carb. Its size is built-in, and depends upon high negative pressure - vacuum - in the intake tract to suck enough fuel up that tiny orifice. If that negative pressure is relieved, say, by...

How much air is too much/doesnt matter for a 84 Spree?
It seems a lot of people like to modify the spree's airbox. I've seen a lot of people drilling holes in them and making custom filters. Others have used a UNI or K&N filter. As for those, how big is too big and what size would make the most sense? Additionally, after rejetting, does it not matte...

Re: ISO Common Issues Caused by No Use
Thanks a lot guys, I'm already seeing a little bit of these issues. Also: Rusted, stuck cables. Shredded seats. Faded plastics, body panels, dash lenses, light lenses. Rotted hoses. Air filters deteriorated. Crankcases and mufflers filled with two-stroke oil, or fuel, or both. Rusted and peeling bri...

ISO Common Issues Caused by No Use
I've been able to find some common issue some spreeople (I'm sorry) have had with their spree's, however are there any issues that are very common with Spree's that have just sat out for months, years, decades?

Alright, thank you!Trafficjamz wrote:All spree seats are the same
Big bore kits require that you do some work to the head and re jet the carb to work correctly.
Edit: I assume that by head you mean the gasket head?
