Re: nifty 50 (spree) stalls when stop and brake

This sounds really dumb but try grounding the engine to the frame directly. In the past ive had issues with the engine stalling at a dead stop. Also you cant be too grounded.

Re: Clutch Behaving Badly

It is definitely the belt. I got my MLM pipe yesterday and when it hits for the second time at about 30, the belt has a lot of trouble keeping up.

Current consensus on the AX24 belts? best brand? should I do it at all?

Re: Clutch Behaving Badly

My thought was that wpc would increase grip on the belt, like ceramic coatings do, idc about wear

Re: Clutch Behaving Badly

Its all really clean the belt still has a mm to go so i might replace it. Whats the current thoughts on an Ax24 belt ? Any brand better than others?

I also was giving though to getting the pulleys wpc treated, mostly to satisfy my own curiousity.

My JPS/ Ricer '86 Spree

I picked up my Spree in October off of CL and immediately fell in love. I put 5 tanks of fuel through it the first weekend I had it. When I was a kid, I remember riding around my uncle's property on his red one and I couldn't believe that I had waited this long to pick up one of my own. I wanted to ...

Clutch Behaving Badly

The clutch on my 1986 Spree has been slipping on take offs. I am having a really hard time with hill starts on even the slightest grades. Also starting on the flat and level is really slow. When it was stock the clutch would be locked at about 10 mph and now it slips til about 15 when its cold and 1...

Re: RazZuma?

I just ordered an air shock from Scooterswapshop. I think it will be better since I can adjust it for mad launches.

Re: RazZuma?

....Looks so good. Drop that thing and start drag racing! I would lower it more but I'm worried about speed bumps. I already hit frame on my Spree, and it's only 2 inches lower than stock. But with the Mina the lowest part is the pipe, not a useless little bit of frame. I also cant raise the front ...

Re: RazZuma?

So where it stand right now. Engine is fully built, engine and shock mount are made. Wiring harness is literally plug and play. Needs new throttle and rear brake cable. But it starts and I've heat cycled it a couple times, sounds wicked. I still need a couple pieces of body work, the cables I mentio...

Re: RazZuma?

Big Update! Engine is all together, ready to fire up. Razz is torn into a trash, keep and ebay pile. (sorry, there are no pictures because it was late at night and my camera does no flash and blury, or mega flash and bleached out) But here is where I'm at.. http://i.imgur.com/xG0Wu6l.jpg No turning ...

Spree shock for very heavy rider

Sorry but the title is a little bit click bait. I'm buliding a razz with zuma engine. Long story short I noobed it up and made all my brackets using a stock spree shock. Turns out the stock spree spring rate is nowhere near what i need. Are there any shocks that have a much higher spring rate than t...

Re: RazZuma?

Our compressor at work is as loud as a 24hp gy6 without an exhaust pipe on it, does that count?

Re: RazZuma?

Made a little bit of progress this weekend. The new crank is in, the case is buttoned up and leak tested, the new top end is on and squish clearance set. Gears in the trans and new oil and gasket keeping them safe. Unfortunately that's about all I got done, because part of my day job is working with...

Re: Aero 50 Airsal kit w/custom pipe and carb

I need to remind myself not to look at this thread, it really ticks me off...

It reminds me my that i dont have a slammed aero, and I'm not ok with that.

It's looking great, keep it going.
