Would a LEO Vince SP3 exhaust be a fit with a big bore kit
1987 elite s. I was originally not planning on any hard core mods, but now Im up to 48mph with the stock engine and am considering a big bore kit for SSS. Will the sp3 pipe be ok, or do I need to get one of those multichamber racing pipes? Other than the kit and larger jets and may new gears is ther...

Re: elite 50s main spring in clutch elite 50s 1987
Greetings: Popping holes in your airbox will muck with the idle and low-RPM jetting. Except for opening the second hole - examination will make this self-explanatory, I recommend you don't plough too many holes. Clutch shoes shouldn't be too work at 7K miles. You need a good 14mm socket to grip the...

Re: elite 50s main spring in clutch elite 50s 1987
Greetings: Impact tools are unnecessary if you have one of these. Jetting up with an aftermarket pipe is a Good Idea, because your RPMs probably went up along with the need for a bit more fuel. The +2000K springs have been known to fracture the weld of the driven pulley, with sudden-stop consequenc...

elite 50s main spring in clutch elite 50s 1987
So far I have had a good boost in gains since installing the leo vince sp3 and the included rollers as well as the polini variator and polini belt. I have blue clutch springs to install also but have not been able to get access to an impact tool to get the clutch bell off. (I tried) Once I do get it...

87 elite s dies when hitting a bump
When I hit a bump the scooter dies. When I start it back up it will idle but die again if I give it gas. I have to slowly rev it until it recovers. I dont know what it is but I am assuming its something to do with fuel in the carburetor? Too much or too little I dont know. I was thinking of checking...

Re: Question about LEO Vince Sp3
It's possible that you need more fuel now with that pipe? Have you read up on the matter? Use the search feature. Ive done research on rejetting, but shouldn't there be some performance increase? Im going to remove the pipe and check for a restriction cone. I will search around for more info on the...

Question about LEO Vince Sp3
1987 honda elite 50s ,I ordered a leo vince sp3 from italy and it arrived last week. I installed it but did not notice any gains in performance at all. I have seen that on some leo vince pipes users have had to grind down welds and remove screens to "derestrict" the pipe. Is this something...

Re: Here is what I have planned for my 87elite 50s input wel
Greetings: I like everything except those 2:1 Polini primaries. Y'see, the 49cc powerhouse will have a hard time getting off the line with a 7.83:1 final drive ratio. There isn't much you can do to reduce (numerciall the belt-drive ratio because the crank on the 05 isn't long enough to adapt a ZX r...

Here is what I have planned for my 87elite 50s input welcome
I got the elite 50s for $350. It runs perfect and has been cared for. I got a new seat cover and its already looking much better. The spedometer cable was shot so I replaced it. I decided to add some parts to increase top speed mostly. my pickup is pretty good . I ordered the following items. SE50 A...
