Re: Ooops with my KYMCO 150i
I respect everything you have contributed to the Spree. My findings and documented readings are 52mph tops speed on the AF05E dyno tested but not proven in real world because of preservation priorities in my personal (THEY ARE MY SON'S) Spree's and dyno testing.. Re: Help me build my 88 Honda elite e please
Oh, I'm still around. Focus more on my YouTube channel and work than anything. Still have the Sprees, even have a 3rd one in the works with low mileage on the block that I'm gonna one day send on over to Joe Daniels to do his magic on it. Don't plan on being as gentle in the riding with the 3rd one ...

Re: JW Parts Plus - RIP OFF ARTISTS- BEWARE!!!!!!
Used them 3 times, never had issue. Takes a couple weeks for turn around. figure mailing it there and mailing it back. Expecting it "RIGHT NOW", yes, even after 2 weeks is unreasonable.

Re: stock 86 spree flintstone launch
If the pads need re-padded, you can get it done here: https://www.jwpartsplus.com/jw-clutch-worx.html They have done 3 Sprees for me so far plus an extra clutch that I keep on my shelf for a spare. The new clutch pads are kevlar and grip real well. If you experience wheel spin after first installing...

Re: Question about private messages
I got your message, I just don't frequent the site as often as I used to, and as Mousewheels said, a message will stay in your outbox until the person has read it, at which time it gets put into the sent folder.

Re: stock 86 spree flintstone launch
My guess is clutch pads are worn. As they heat up from riding, they lose gripping power if worn, check them out and have the clutch repadded if needed.

Re: What’s my mint ‘87 with 30 miles worth??
Mint 87' will fetch anywhere from $800-1200 around these parts. Mint 87' Iowa worth more. eBay prices do not reflect real world prices. That's a gold diggers hide out of over inflated junk and misleads people into thinking what they have is valued more then it actually is. If you have the title, whi...

Re: bbk or power
Take it from me. I spent over $3,000 restoring my son's Spree, about a 3rd of that went into the engine. Not just a BBK, but gears, MLM pipe, professional porting, intake, Malossi reeds, Polini carb, dyno pulls and etc, etc. It will do over 50mph, but considering the investment needed, you'll get mo...

Re: Spree cutting out at top speed or under load
They say heat cycling is the way to go, but that's not an exact science. On both of mine, I rode them at around 40mph+ all the way home from the shop at around 8,000rpm with brand new pistons. Didn't wanna take it to 11,000rpm until break in was done. That was about a 3 mile trip, then a couple more...

Sounds to me like your scooter mechanic has no idea how exhaust sound waves work in a 2 stroke engine.

Re: New Spree, '85 w/ 66 miles
Very nice. I'd start with replacing anything and everything that is rubber. Rubber naturally deteriorates no matter how well the bike is stored. So your talking, tires, O-ring for the oil pump, vacuum lines, fuel lines, oil lines. Only 66 miles but you can see rust on the rims, guessing frame has it ...

Re: Spree Stator Issues
It's in the service manual found here in the wiki. Also, there is a guy on YouTube who recently did a video talking about the electrical system, it's a pretty good watch and very helpful: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p-7KTGP-8vM

Re: Spree Stator Issues
It's probably the pickup. I'd just do a "WANTED" ad here and over on the "HONDA SPREE RIDERS ASSOCIATION" Facebook page and see if anybody has one for sale: https://www.facebook.com/groups/2200893207

Re: Are these Factory 1986 Honda Spree Accessories?
Could be. If so, then looks like you need to hunt down an original mount. Shouldn't be too hard to find one.
