Re: Where to buy oversize pistons

Thanks! I have already reached out directly to him on eBay since all he has listed is a standard sized piston. Waiting to hear back.

Where to buy oversize pistons

Having a tough time finding a place to get oversize pistons for my NN50 84 Gyro. I have low compression (75 PSI) so getting it started is near impossible.

I would like to get an oversize Spree piston for it but can't find a reliable source... any recommendations?

Spree Stock Exhaust Tip Diameter?

Just got an 86 Spree (verified it is NOT the Iowa Edition). After going through the whole scooter, I discovered that it had the stock jet size (#65) in it but someone cut open the end of the stock exhaust and welded a very large diameter exhaust tip to it. I would like to weld it back to normal size...

Re: Removing Speedo Worm Gear in Brake Hub

After attempting this. I discovered the gears are cut in a different direction so most likely you will cause your speedometer cable to run in the opposite direction.

Re: Removing Speedo Worm Gear in Brake Hub

Not worth the price to replace the plastic sheered gear. You can swap the internals from a new Honda Dio 50 unit for next to nothing. Dio uses a different count of teeth so you need to swap the worm gear as well.

Removing Speedo Worm Gear in Brake Hub

Hi all,

Has anyone successfully removed the worm drive/gear in the front hub of a Honda Elite or Spree? There is a circular piece that is pressed in from the speedometer cable side that holds the worm gear in. I wanted to see if there is a technique before I apply flame heat to the brake hub.
