After all these posts, I went get the title from the widow whos husband died. I always thought it was a 1987, after getting the title it is a 1989.. Where can I get a download for the service manual. I have been using a 1987 download to work on this thing..

Thanks... How do I know if it is getting oil thru the normal oiling system.. I remember it used to smoke some.. No smoke... A fellow suggested mixing gas and oil and putting it directly into the gas tank rather than putting oil in the oil tank.. If I do this, will the oil pump run dry and cause prob...

OK!! New plug, new coil and coil wire.. Breather element.. Runs!!! But will not stay running.. Like is runs out of fuel.. I am not about to get into the carb.. Is there a carb cleaner that I could run thru the breather intake? I used starting fluid to start the first time after putting it back toget...

This thread is getting long!! Ok. took you fellers advise and pulled off the covers.. Put in a new spark plug.. Now my problem!! the sspark plug cable is too short!! What will doing this, do in fixing the tail light being on..

Taking one problem at a time. When I turn the key on as if going to start, the tail light comes on. Not the headlight (may be burned out). Brake light works when pull the brake lever.. The tail light coming on, is this normal? If not, what is the fix?

I sure wish some of you fellows lived close to Nevada,Mo.!!Would like someone to take this scooter and get it going for me!! I am an 80 yr old "kid", who sometimes get his head and body into things that are just beyond my abilities.. I would deliver it to someone half way close to me.. Bill

GOT POWER!! Turn signals, horn.... Brake light stays on all the time. Where is the switch for the brake light? Head light not working.. Afraid to start taking off frame covers.. But that is how to get to the spark plug I suppose.. Front brake cable froze..
