How do I check for vacuum? I detached intake tube from petcock and when I start the engine I feel that air is going out of it. Should it be the other way around?

Thanks for your replies. My neighbor looked at it and told me it could be the problem with the coil. I replaced it and it didn't help. I also put new fuel in it, but that didn't help either.
