Re: Stalling spree

...legendary, un-photographable pilot jet... To the contrary. For some crazy reason, run of the mill digital cameras are quite sensative to even the slightest contrast. I took the below picture just inside the open garage door here in the middle of a bright sunny day in central Florida. I was holdi...

Re: Honda spree ID please?

I agree, it's a 1987 with an 84 - 86 rear rack/turn signals. The probably laid the thing down and broke the 87 turn signal off, and had to replace that with 84 - 86 assembly because the 87 turn signal assembly is more rare/expensive than the petcock cover for 84 - 86 body.

Re: is this right?

Sounds right to me. Mine do the same things you describe. Cold takeoff is probably much better due to the rich mixture created by the bystarter being open. These things were designed for on road use only, it even says so on the little sticker on the head set. They handle like crap in a lawn, but it ...

Check compression. I'd suspect a broken piston and/or rings.

Moved to Orlando...tons of scooters!

I moved back to Orlando after being gone for 11 years. There are SOOO many people riding scooters here! Most of them are 100cc+ but I've seen quite a few 50's running around, even some Hondas, but very few 2 strokes. My local Honda dealer doesn't even carry GN2, he said he knows the shop in Daytona ...

Anybody knowledgable on Florida 50cc scooter law?

Lost my job of 11 years in Charlotte, NC yesterday, and am planning on packing up and moving back home, to central Florida (Orlando, Seminole County area). Of course, my pair of Sprees are coming with me. The research I've been able to do seems to indicate that you have to be 16 and have a valid dri...

I don't think your carb is clean enough. Pull the main jet and emulsion tube, clean them out real good, and clean the well the the emulsion tube and main jet reside in. Make sure you have sufficient fuel delivery, as mentioned above. Petcock, filter, etc. I had a similar problem before, and it was r...

The bulb issue is either that there is a single filiment bulb in there, or a dual filiment bulb and one of the filiments is broken (the 27W one, in this case). The bulbs are regular, dime a dozen bulbs you can get from any auto shop. I beleive they make heavy duty bulbs for motorcycle application, y...

It was clutch shoes for me...I just swapped them out with a better set I had lying around. What's the procedure for procuring and installing new clutch shoes? I'm going to need to do that in the next few months I reckon.

I actually own a Mossberg 500 that is d*** near identical to that, just has the silvery finish. Problem is, I live in Mecklenburg County, which is mostly urbanized, so there's no shootin in the city limits without a d*** good reason. Pesky geese are probably not good reason enough. Plus, my understa...

It's all about location. An Aero 50 wouldn't go for more than $300 in my area, but I imagine it would go for WAY more in an area like Michigan. The prices on these things varies wildly from state to state.
