Re: Putting carb back on 1989 Sb50p

from what i know maybe you can find a fiche parts diagram for a better picture but you have 3 main hoses. one is a vacuum line. and one is an oil line and the last is gas. the oil should come from right under the exhaust pipe connection to the cylinder. that goes to the side of the carb should be a ...

Re: Met vs Ruck Wheels What’s the Difference?

Ruckus wheels are wider. Don't think a ruck will work and the met wheel would be tight. I would suggest a 94-01 elite sa50 wheel with met brake plate. The elite wheel is just slightly narrower than the met. Your still gonna have to modify the hub and re-shim to get it centered. i dont think the met...

Re: Painting rims/kicker

And any suggestions for the kicker cover what kind of paint to use, I keep having when i drain my carb bowl the gas cleaning the paint off of it. I was thinking something like https://www...

Re: 1987 Honda Elite SE50 Derestricting

maybe a new contra, do you know how to get the clutch apart to get to the contra? i use a bench vice to hold the nut and then a large oil filter remover to turn the clutch by the clutch pads. there are 3 contra springs i usually see, they call tem 1000,1500 and 2000. maybe 1000 for some extra tensio...

Re: How do you get that oil pump plug working?

Greetings: O-rings come in different thicknesses as well as diameters. Perhaps it was bad luck on the original, not "square" when you pushed it in, or a sharp edge on your crankcase. After that maybe replacements are too thick to fit? Measure the pump bore and the plug diameters. Lawn irr...

Re: Advise on building for acceleration

you can take off the rear cvt cover on your bike and see when the cvt switches gears. if it does it too early or too late you can put a camera there and see. larger like 1500 spring will make it take longer to upshift. lighter roller weights will also make it take longer to upshift, but you'll have ...

Re: Oil in Rear Clutch Casing?

i would guess its some 10w-30 oil right? theres oil in, I think, the rear gears of the spree, and theres a fill/drain bolt at least is on an elite to fill it with. that oil is there to lube up the gears that attach from the rear clutch spindle, to the rear tire. theres an oil seal behind the rear cl...

Re: How do you get that oil pump plug working?

no my bike works now. after trying many things and replacing the carburetor and changing jets after replacing the pump plug back in with the oil pump, it works. the pump has an oring that sits on the top. thats just how orings work. and issues dont run deep they just run right there in front of you ...

Re: How do you get that oil pump plug working?

hondabond, would blow out. its meant to be pressed/sandwiched together. its only the o-ring that seals. i dont know is his made different? i bought mine from the hawaain guys shop. i got some calipers maybe could measure. but it never worked, and the o-ring always split.
