Re: Do not swap Spree engines
Of course you can improve the performance of a Spree. The issue, is whether or not the changes will give you the performance boost you are seeking. Then there is another major factor.. cost. For a 45mph+ Spree, you will spend upwards of $500 though you lose a significant amount of bottom end accele...

Re: Do not swap Spree engines
every time someone starts talking about making a Spree run better someone says swap the engine. You are wrong, sir. When someone wants their Spree to run “better” advice is given to help with issues. If your Spree wont start, runs badly, cuts out at wot, overheats or ANY OTHER mechanical issue...NO...

Do not swap Spree engines
On this forum every time someone starts talking about making a Spree run better someone says swap the engine. Many people don't want to swap the engine. Please stop that. Answer the question asked or don't but stop with the engine swap nonsense. It's as bad as the Chevy people saying just put in a L...

Chrome spree wheels
Someone should chrome plate and sell Spree wheels on here. They could also sell some powder coated ones. I know one of you guys has access to plenty of good stock wheels to get this started.

They are great once you get them broke in. Don't get the cheap custom ones. If you're trying to be cheap just buy several different types and ...

Re: My first spree
Thanks. I'll get the new battery in it and it cleaned up and then go from there. I haven't been on a spree since I was a kid. My sister got a brand new one in 1985. So I really don't know what to expect.

Re: My first spree
Thanks. Battery is ordered. Are other wheels available for the spree before I order tires? Aluminum should be lighter and prettier. Is tubeless possible?

My first spree
I just picked up a 86 spree. It has been sitting about 5 years. My wife has given me a budget of $500 to spend on this for now. I know I need battery, tires and my rear wheel is bent from a tire change. A few cosmetic things like mirrors and paint. My turn signal switch is broke. My exhaust has expo...
