Here's the latest... Change the coil out....same results. Checked the throttle valve...it was already in the middle slot. Now... I decided to exchange the carbs... Fired right up...sounded better...reved up faster while on stand. Took it for a spin...much faster!! Had it up to 27 mph. I had it full ...

I have the air mixture screw 1 1/2 turns out from stop. Used the old head gasket...the aluminum one...in perfect condition....

I'm sooo frustrated right now! I did an engine swap from one 1986 Spree to another 1986 Spree. The engine I swapped out was running great...I put it into another Spree...hooked everything up and the engine won't go faster than 15 mph. It starts fine...revs up good while sitting on the kick stand...b...

Cleaning out the Muffler...
I read on the forum about using oven cleaner to clean out the muffler. For some reaso...

Finally a decent day to go riding in the Northwest :D Here's 2 of my Sprees....I painted the grey one with the Painters Touch paint for plastics....worked out great. The other one I had the back panels painted at a local shop for $15. I also had the rear blinkers brought in about 2" each on bot...

New problem same area..... So everything works with the starter now....kickstart works also.....HOWEVER.....when the engine is running, and you touch the kickstarter, you can hear/feel grinding. I've had this thing apart 3 times and I'm pretty sure it's been installed correct. If I pull out on the k...
