Re: 87 Honda Spree Dead (Need help/advice)
Ok. Not sure what I can do just yet. Not my decision entirely. I guess we'll tear it down, see what is wrong with The Honda and make the Decision from there. I have a bracket race coming up, so it's 28 days to prep. I bought the Spree for 800. Not sure how much of that I can get back, but I'll see w...

87 Honda Spree Dead (Need help/advice)
So....Sunday on the way to work, I experienced strange sounds, like clacking and the Honda died 3 times, with loss of power/speed. At first, I thought it was the engine or clutch overheating (bike dropped from 25/30 to 5 mph or less) But later found it was losing compression. (Been hot and humid her...

Engine swap search
I have no issue finding 125s or 150s. But looking for a Honda Af05, af16 or af18 complete with dual clutch/cvt/variator transmission. Met with the Team two days ago and meeting with a Fabricator/Welder next week. Can I get a transmission/complete engine of any of the above for $400 or less? Easy to ...

Re: spree dio burnout
Can you even do a normal burnout on a Stock Spree or is an engine swap an absolute must?
I can burnout, but I'd need someone holding the front end or back end so I spin but dont move. I've done some burnouts out of gas stations, but it was started on the kickstand.

Re: More Speed/Rev Range advice
Ok. If I'm going to do an engine swap, I'll go bigger. Cant find any AF16s and the complete engines I have found are sold out.

And what is the displacement of the AF18?
So I know If I'm looking for the 80, 90, 110 or 125 engine. Meatball

Re: More Speed/Rev Range advice
What would be a good variator to add? Noticed the engines start at 300 and go up to 500/600 dollars.
Found a Polini for 134 on Ebay. Or an af18 for 105.

More Speed/Rev Range advice
I love two stroke power, but dont mind swapping to 4 stroke if needed. Can I just get a high performance clutch kit or is an 80/125/200/150 or 232cc swap the only way to get more speed? I'd like to get faster than 30 mph on my Honda. Prefer to go the cheapest/quickest way possible. If I can get 45/5...

I've seen plenty of these. Extended swingarms, etc. Its possible this bike has a power adder like Nitrous or a supercharger. Seen some massive tires too.
Meatball. @motormike
No I'm not a very young rider.

Drag Racing Return
So I have a good little Honda Spree, currently stock. It runs 20.40 at about 27.04 mph at best so far in the eighth. Tested on 6/20. Trying to return to drag Racing competition this year. I've seen some serious potential in videos and such. I'd like to know how much it would cost to run low 8s in th...
