I'm using synthetic injector oil and just pouring it into the oil tank.

Will try cleaning the air filter again. and adjusting the needle.

Nope, no premixing.
But I do have to run it with the airbox open a crack, or else I have 0 power. I figured if anything, running with the air box open a little would make it more lean....??

Jet is definitely a #65. Is my only option to adjust the clip on the needle?

Pulled the plug - this is what she looks like.....is this pretty typical? Does seem a little wet - too rich?

A bit or carbon, but not too bad for 25 year old Spree I figure.

After a long cruise (full out) Spree slowly looses power....

Spree is running fine for short trips to the pub, but if I head out for a cruise and have it full blast for a few minutes (5-10 minutes) the Spree starts to loose power. And, if I let go of the throttle, the handle grip turns back to it's regular position, but the engine continues to cruise along......

I'm not doing any damage am I running with the air box open a crack? There's no smoke coming out or anything, so I'll probably just ride it as is....

Changed #68 jet to #65 - still runs poorly

My #65 jet came in last night, swaped it out for the #68 that the spree came with but unfortunately, no difference. With the 65 in and the air box top screwed and clipped in tight, there's no power to the Spree. It runs, just no power. But, if I loosen the airbox lid so there's just a little space s...

Noiseguy.....you were right!!
My rear rack and flashers showed up today after work, plugged them in, and blink....blink.....blink. All four flash nicely.
Wicked!

I actually don't have the rear turning signals yet - waiting for a rack and lights to show up from eBay. Would that explain why they're not flashing? You need to have all the lights hooked up and working to complete some sort of circuit?

Turning flasher unit not quite working....suggestions?

Spree is running well and everything is working except for the turning flashers. When I select a right or left turn, the turning lights will turn on, but not flash. I can hear the little unit under the seat click on, and in fact if I continuously tap it, the lights will flash. Anything I can do to g...

Having trouble ordering a #65 Jet

Well, there's two weeks wasted! I went in to my Honda dealer, two weeks ago and ordered a #65 jet for an 84 Spree, what showed up was too small in diameter. It said #65 on the side, but basically slid inside the jet 'port' - not screw in. Took it back, talked to the guy and he ordered me another #65...

Anyhow, for anyone interested, here's a site I found with a couple different types.

Could someone post pic of inline fuel filter?

Hi guys, I have the stock fuel filter installed, but it looks as though there is a small crack in the plastic running top to bottom so it's probably not filtering 100%. I'm installing my new smaller jet this weekend, Spree had a #68 changing to a #65 to see if it will run better, and thought I'd put...

I just used mineral spirits to clean mine and it seemed to do the trick......I guess they just don't want you cleaning the filter with gasoline, which is what I think a lot of people do, so there's no chance of turning yourself into a human torch.
