Engine is making a weird popcorn maker clatter sound.

I started the 85 Spree up today and noticed the same thing as before last fall. I start to drive down the road and no problems. Decent , smooth accerleration etc. Once I meet full throttle , which is about 25 -29 MPH for my Spree. It periodically makes a Popcorn machine like clatter and I experience...

Spree factory decals

I am refinishing the body of my scooter. When I am done with the painting I want to put on the spree logo stickers so I can restore it to original or somewhat original shape. Where could one get new spree stickers ?

The back side panels are a PCABS( Poly carbonate/abutyl styrene mix) which can be melted and or fused with methel ethel keyton (MEK) from hard ware. Be careful. its toxic and could mess up the panel. A two part 5 minute epoxy on the lightly sanded back side of side panels would also work well. Bondo...

:D Issue: 86 Spree kept running great then carb was getting clogged, throttle would not respond well and engine acted bogged down. Carburator kept clogging after repeat cleaning.
