Re: Why is the clutch all eaten up?

Thanks for the response Motormike. Ya, figured it could be age but was still surprised by the level of damage. Know of anyone that sells a compatible clutch by chance?

Re: 86' rear brake cable

Awesome, glad it’s worked for you Albie007! Mine seems to be holding up well so far, now I just need to find a new clutch and I can call my scoot good for hopefully a hot second.

Why is the clutch all eaten up?

Hey all, So after now having fixed 3 separate problems on my 1985 Honda spree before I declare her road worthy, I’ve discovered a new one. The weights on the clutch are severely eaten up and there are no pads left. Also didn’t see any metal pieces so unless they were grounded to dust and mixed with ...

Re: 86' rear brake cable

Got it working! I added some cable lube to help it last, the casing is thinner and if you could get an original I would, but if not it works. Re: 86' rear brake cable

I just ordered this one from Walmart. The measurement looks right but not sure if it’ll work or not yet. Would rather have bought an original but couldn’t find one either, and figured 12 bucks was a worthy gamble. https://www.walmart.com/ip/64-5-inch-Rear-DRUM-BRAKE-CABLE-50cc-70-90cc-110cc-125c-150...

Re: Melted ground wires near battery.

Thanks for the responses, just rewired and checked ground, going to start it up this weekend and see if it charges the battery and make sure no wires start melting/rectifier doesn’t heat up. Thanks again.

Melted ground wires near battery.

Hello all, I have a 1985 Honda spree that I bought a couple months ago. Seemed to work alright at first, but then it started to bog down, lights were dimming, and began to have trouble starting and saw that the battery looked pretty old so replaced it. It worked great after that but I checked the vo...
