HAHAA!! it's TRUE!
I'll try to go in again and see if they'll register it as a Moped, there's no sense in paying 140 annually for registration!!

Re: 86' rear brake cable
So went on fine, no real issues. It comes with a spring to keep tension but I chucked it since the original doesn't come with one. used the same barrel and adjustment screw as original since the barrel provided is not going to fit the drum arm. works great!! DrunkBotany, here's to you my man, good f...

Re: How to start old Honda Elite S (SA50)
Odd... mine was sitting for 7-10 years, and needed only routine stuff you'd expect to do when sitting..
removed the fuel tank, rinsed it with fresh fuel, cleaned out the carburetor, new plug, new air filter, new brake cables and BAM!! running like a champ!

Re: New to Spree, oil question
Slightly waking the thread up again.. So just to clarify, if oil wasn't pumping, I'd quickly know that because I would seize the piston, right? I haven't taken her on a big ride, just running her up and down the block for maybe 3 miles worth of riding, I had added 1/70 mix on the gas tank itself but...

Confused about the Spree
Hey guys, I had some doubts about the Spree and I was hoping you guys knew the answer. I bought my 86 a few weeks back from a guy who got it from a guy who got it from the original owner (no title). I cleaned it up and she now runs like a champ with only 1800 miles (waiting for a rear brake cable an...

Re: 86' rear brake cable
No worries Motormike, any help is greatly appreciated. I'll measure it tomorrow and see what I get. I had found this one at scooter works, but again, had not yet measured the old one. Re: New to Spree, oil question
I have verified that the arms/actuators at the drum are free and clear and articulate properly. I seems to me that the cable is bad. I have ordered a new front cable, when it gets here I'll test that out by installing it on the front, hopefully that cures the issue, and I'll then TRY to source a rea...
