Re: AF05e with AF16 crank ?
I recently got a DD50 with a spree engine in it? It’s a polini/malosi bore 72cc I’m pretty sure. All the bored I’m finding for this motor is a curved exhuast ear but mine isn’t? Bike hits 65-70mph (not sure how) I was trying to send pictures with it but it says files too large. I know that the Spre...

Re: Main jet recomendations?
Those will most definitely help you unlock higher rpm's. It is a direct bolt on for everything, though on the SB50 intake, one of the bolts isnt quite long enough so I have to make a run to the hardware store to find one long enough. It was difficult to find the reed cage, just took a while of searc...

Re: Main jet recomendations?
Oil pump will still be just fine, it will do its own thing and still get the job done. You aren't changing how much the pump needs to lubricate
If you were get say a big bore kit, you would have to run premix plus the pump, since there is more surface area to lubricate.

Re: Main jet recomendations?
Judging by your mods, try to keep going up. You might be too lean. I have similar mods and I believe 80 worked for me. You might be too lean, causing overheating, and then a soft seize where the motor can't overcome friction. How long/far can you ride before it'll die? Not sure how to explain why th...

Re: Running like crap
Is the air filter secured tightly? I've ridden around, had it come loose, and caused it to run poorly. Might need to zip tie it down

Re: Different OEM pulley?
Honda used the middle pulley from the factory for their '84 and '85 Sprees, then switched to the left one for their '86 and '87 models. The left one is also the service part that Honda uses if they ever replaced the pulley. All the same engine, same gear ratio, just different hunk of metal.

Re: 2000 Elite 50 Hard Turning Over
Finally got a chance to get the pump out, easier than I thought. Do I need to open the crankcase and drain it or can I just use an oil extractor to take it out or kick it over a bunch to push it out? Also do you know if the o-rings are replaceable or do you suggest a new pump? I can't recommend tur...

Re: 2000 Elite 50 Hard Turning Over
Thanks for the info. I did that and it spit out a bunch of oil mixture, looked oilier than it should be. Installed the plug and after another dozen or so cranks it started to bind up again. Any ideas? Weak spark maybe or still too rich? Check your oil pump, and look in the bottom of the crankcase, ...

Re: Honda spree only starts with starting fluid
Ok so i got the scooter today and it turns on and runs great. It get's up and moves no problem but it just doesn't want to idle on it's own...and advice on that one? You'll have to adjust the idle screw. It's on the side of the carb. Should be a Phillip's head with a spring under it. Mess around wi...

Re: Removed restricter and scooter drove worse
It seems now that when I give it throttle it bogs down and I get a fair amount of white smoke. I get a top speed of around 5-10 miles when adding full throttle. It gets a tad zippy off the line though. So I am going to replaced the vacuum and fuel line next. But anything else I should be looking at...

Re: I am upgrading my 1983 Spree.
WHAT? No body can give me an answer to this. I find that hard to believe. I would port the intake first, wikispreedia has a page for this. http://hondaspree.net/wiki/index.php/Intake_and_Air_Filter_Modifications_for_the_Spree As for porting your transfer ports/block... can't say for certain about p...

Re: I am upgrading my 1983 Spree.
Glad you found a bore kit in this current year! They're getting rare. I don't think you would need to port the block to get good gains from a BBK, I would try it without porting. If you do end up wanting/needing to port everything, I can't say for certain. I personally would coat what I wanted to re...

Re: SA50P - To BBK or Not to BBK
If you already have the BBK, it would never hurt to give yourself a bump in power assuming it's good quality and fitment. With BBK's, you will need to rejet anyways. I don't know enough about SA50P variators, so I can't help you out there. Jetting alone should help you out though, not sure what numb...
