Generally a turn wheel that can be stopped by grabbing it is not an issue.

Re: what causes this to happen?
Not everyone can afford a $125 compression tester or needs one for that matter. *, I had a Mercury Marine test with no hose that was like $35 back in the day but is around $60 today. FYI, I have found if you are getting the varied readings you claimed, that it is almost always a dirty or bad schrade...

You are aware that your speedometer lies by at least 3 mph? Sp 32 indicated will be 29 actual mph.

Re: New to the site.

They both are in great condition with one that has almost 1400 miles and the other that has about 1200 miles on it. I have a pretty good idea what they are worth but wouldn't mi...

Never thought of that one. It would be cool but would involve trailering for most of us. I don't mind but others might.

Re: 1985 spree won't run
Im a bit confused as to the first bit. By adjusting the mixture screw to the highest idle, do you mean literally unscrew that sucker to achieve the heaviest mix? Or are you saying the highest idle to the point were the wheel starts spinning? highest idle you can get without wheel IS NOT spinning. N...

I'm not buying the CDI and coil made any difference, mainly since none of the old pros have ever seen a improvement. If the stock stuff is good, all you did was install parts with a lower reliability factor.

Re: Bought 86 spree today can't get started
Unless you check the compression with a gauge, you have no clue what the compression is. Moving air will happen at 40 PSI but the engine will never even fire there. The magic minimum number is 114 PSI but and engine will run with 90 PSI.
